Why this course is important?
Falls are a major cause of injury and loss of independence, particularly for older adults and people with mobility challenges. This training helps caregivers understand the key risk factors that contribute to falls, including environmental hazards, medical conditions, medications, and psychological factors. By identifying these risks, caregivers can take proactive steps to prevent falls, create safer environments, and support individuals in maintaining their mobility and confidence. This course also covers how to assess and respond when a fall occurs, ensuring the right support is given to prevent further harm. Effective fall prevention reduces injuries, hospitalisations, and the emotional and financial impact falls can have on individuals and their families.
