Why this course is important?
Preventing pressure injuries is easier than treating them. Understanding how they develop—from prolonged pressure, friction, or shearing—is crucial for providing quality care. Recognising early warning signs and using assessment tools like the Braden Scale can help prevent serious wounds. Regular repositioning, proper nutrition, hydration, and using pressure-relieving aids all play a role. Your responsibility is to follow care plans, document observations, and take proactive steps to ensure those in your care stay safe and comfortable.
