Ngā Paerewa sets out the quality and safety expectations for health and disability services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This course helps learners understand how the Standard connects with everyday care practice. It explores the rights of people receiving services, person and whānau-centred care, cultural safety, documentation, escalation, safe systems, infection prevention, restraint minimisation, and audit readiness.
Learners are supported to think about what safe care looks like, how it is shown through everyday actions, and how clear evidence supports continuity, accountability, and improvement.
